COVID-19 UPDATES

Our Commitment to Providing a Safe Setting for Your Orthotic and Prosthetic Needs

Above & Beyond Orthopedics sincerely thanks you for trusting us to care for your orthotic and prosthetic needs. Our commitment to your safety and well-being is our top priority and guides us as we face the challenge of responding to COVID-19.

We encourage everyone to stay informed and follow the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and your local health agencies. Here are the precautions we are taking at Above & Beyond Orthopedics:

  • Enhancing workplace sanitization processes and hand hygiene (washing & sanitizing)
  • Equipping our offices with hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves
  • Eliminating traditional waiting/common seating areas and using non-traditional alternatives (e.g., parking lot)
  • Maintaining social distancing (6 feet or more) in all setting where people must wait and employing other steps to minimize direct contact
  • Taking the temperatures of our staff and visitors prior to entering our clinics
  • Requiring staff to stay home if sick and delaying appointments for patients with flu symptoms
  • Maximizing telehealth (phone, Skype and FaceTime) rather than in-person services

If you have an appointment, here are some things to expect:

  • You are always welcome to contact Above & Beyond Orthopedics at any time with questions or to discuss your upcoming appointment.
  • If essential for your safety, one caretaker/family member may accompany you in the clinic.
  • You (and any caregiver) will be required to answer health screening questions and have your temperature validated before entering the clinic.
  • We will work with you to reschedule your appointment or conduct your appointment via telehealth if you (or any caregiver) have:
  • a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing
  • travelled outside the U.S. in the last 14 days or been in close contact with anyone who has travelled outside the U.S. in the last 14 days
  • tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  • been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  • We are taking measures to minimize contact in our waiting/common seating areas. We will ask that you arrive on time, not early, for your appointment. Upon arrival, please remain in your vehicle and call the clinic. A staff member will come to your vehicle to conduct the health screen and validate temperature. We will ask that you remain in your vehicle until staff notifies you to enter the clinic.
  • You (and any caregiver) must wear a cloth face covering or mask while in the clinic. We ask that you bring a cloth face covering or mask with you to your appointment. If you do not have access, one will be provided.
  • You (and any caregiver) must sanitize your hands upon entry into the clinic.

Thank you for trusting Above & Beyond Orthopedics to provide you with a safe choice for your orthotic and prosthetic care.
